tackling crisis with lives
around the world

Who We are

We are an international organization formed by team members from multiple countries, dedicated to tackling crisis in the world’s poorest countries. We work in partnership with the local organizations to serve the very poorest people in these countries, directly enabling them to improve their lives, as well as using our knowledge and experience. We invest our time and experience to build sustainable, community-owned water projects around the world.

We work with communities across Americas, Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, helping people to tackle the poverty and injustice they face. We work wherever the need is greatest.

Our financials maintain the highest levels of transparency and accountability.

Communities, as our ‘shareholders,’ make decisions on resource allocation with representatives from all stakeholder groups, and directly ensure that all clients receive their entitlements.

Empowered communities can then hold governments to account.

We rigorously assess our impact, measuring our success by tangible improvements to the lives of people.

We lead in putting mobile data gathering technology into the hands of frontline activists. We then share this data with communities, empowering them to take swift and targeted action.

We respect, protect and promote the dignity of our clients and their communities.

We build strong, but apolitical, partnerships with local supporters.

We initiate innovative partnerships between communities, likeminded organizations and the private sector to maximize the resources available to tackle the challenges which young people face.

We aim to address the debilitating effects of poverty and exclusion on an individual’s sense of self-worth and entitlement.

Make a real difference

Concern is capable of making a real difference, but eliminating poverty doesn’t happen overnight. That’s why legacies are so important to us. They provide the confidence we need to move forward, in order to make this a better world.

"In the end, though, maybe we must all give up trying to pay back the people in this world who sustain our lives. In the end, maybe it's wiser to surrender before the miraculous scope of human generosity and to just keep saying thank you, forever and sincerely, for as long as we have voices."
